Important Policy Information: A major credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, American Express, Discover) and a valid driver’s licence (in the name of the renter) will be required at the time of rental. A $1,000 USD authorization (HOLD) will be placed on customer credit card at time of rental. This authorization amount may be used towards damage to the rental vehicle and/or any applicable late charges. Rental vehicle can only be driven within the country of Dominican Republic.
Highly recommended. Additional Liability Insurance (ALI) is HIGHLY Recommended. This raises the third party liability limit from 200,000 RFD to 6,000,000 RD per vehicle. Any additional liability is the responsibility of the driver/renter of the vehicle. No credit cards provide Liability Insurance. Remember in case of ANY accident involving one of our vehicles it is required BY DOMINICAN REPUBLIC LAW and by ALL Insurance Companies to provide a written Police Statement of the incident.
Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) is not insurance – it’s an option that relieves you of financial responsibility if your rental vehicle is damaged or stolen during your rental. Even if you think you are already covered under your personal policy, purchasing LDW has a multitude of benefits. It eliminates the hassle of dealing with your own insurance company claim process, stops any out-of-pocket expenses you may incur from the deductible on your personal policy and avoids the risk of your premium increasing. Next time you rent a car, be sure you’re prepared for life’s unexpected turns. This optional coverage offers you big peace of mind for a small investment.
It is mandatory to purchase Basic Coverage (Collision Damage Waiver/Theft Protection – CDW-TP) and can only be declined if renter provides proof of credit card coverage for damages to the rental vehicle.
CDW-TP has a deductible of up $1,500 USD. In the event CDW-TP is declined, customer is responsible for the full value of the rental vehicle.
All one-way rentals are subject to a drop charge.
Reservation Cancelation policy. We do ask to provide a credit card to confirm your reservation when a vehicle is delivered to an airport or resort location. Cancellations must be received within 48 hours of the arrival time or will incur a minimal 1 day cancellation fee for costs involved in the vehicle delivery. Cancelations for office pick-ups will not be charged.
